They don't tell you about Limbo FOMO when it comes to travel.

The excitement of travel is bookended with long periods of waiting at airports, flying in @latamairlines to be placed, and things not going your way, in unpredictable situations.

That's part of the charm!

But there are truly in-between moments where nothing productive is being done. And you're not making progress towards your destination.

It's at that moment that you think about people who are actually enjoying the destination you want to go to, but you can enjoy that. So you think about the People back home who are living a very predictable life, still moving things forward, still moving the needle forward.

This is FOMO+, FOMO Plus: Limbo FOMO.

And honestly, it can be a joy stealer!

But the only way out of it is through it. Letting go of the productivity that others are having, and letting go that you're not enjoying the destination others are enjoying.

The truth is that it is in those moments you just have to face yourself, and sit with yourself, and that makes a lot of people uncomfortable.

And that's the real education travel gets you. Yes I can expose you to other cultures, foods, and the light, but the real education is who you are in the in-between moments.

Your loved ones are going to question who you are because they were made and shattered for the person you have been. They're not ready for the person you're going to be.

So it's going to get ugly before it gets better. It's going to get challenging.

This song by Brother Israel, Over The Rainbow remake, was a song burned into my memory as I had my first out of body experience while traveling, and realizing that I was no longer a homebody.

I was a world traveler.

And the lyrics really hit home for me at that time.

It's a wild experience to be on a layover in Bogotá at @bogeldorado, having dinner and drinking a Cuba libre, while waiting for my next flight to Peru, and feeling comfortable nearly anywhere in the world.

This journey of life has led me to a lot of places, with a lot of relationships.

It has had its pains, but far more pleasures.
I have been lost, but I have more often been found.

And it's in moments like these where I get a moment alone to reflect, that I realize how fully grateful I am for all of it. The pain. The pleasure. The listlessness at times. The ambition.

I know of no better personal development tool than traveling the world, putting yourself in a challenging situations, making friends along the way, and returning home a new person.

This song by Brother Israel, Over The Rainbow remake, was a song burned into my memory as I had my first out of body experience while traveling, and realizing that I was no longer a homebody.

I was a world traveler.

And the lyrics really hit home for me at that time.

It's a wild experience to be on a layover in Bogotá at @bogeldorado, having dinner and drinking a Cuba libre, while waiting for my next flight to Peru, and feeling comfortable nearly anywhere in the world.

This journey of life has led me to a lot of places, with a lot of relationships.

It has had its pains, but far more pleasures.
I have been lost, but I have more often been found.

And it's in moments like these where I get a moment alone to reflect, that I realize how fully grateful I am for all of it. The pain. The pleasure. The listlessness at times. The ambition.

I know of no better personal development tool than traveling the world, putting yourself in a challenging situations, making friends along the way, and returning home a new person.

How I'm packing for Peru! When you visit location

How I'm packing for Peru!

When you visit locations with different weather patterns, it can increase what you're packing!

I'm carrying my @cotopaxi day bag for my light carry Ons, and my Swiss duffel for the rest!

Since I'll basically be moving airport to airport, I'll wear my normal comfortable Florida clothes, my shorts and @suavsshoes, just like I was flying out of @flytpa until I arrive in Lima, or even Cusco.

There, I'll change for the weather, which will have me doing a few more layers in my @rei raincoat.
